Registration
Please fill out the complete application and return it to the specified address. All three pages need to be completed and returned prior to joining the team. A basic swim test will be administered prior to the start of the season for the entire team.
Sailors are required to have a Coast Guard approved life preserver and dry suit or wet suit for cold weather sailing. There are many vendors for dry suits that you can find on the Web. Many of the prices you'll find are comparable. You may want consider purchasing your equipment from a local dealer who can provide support and repairs. One that is always recommended is Sturgis Boat Works in West Yarmouth, right off route 6 - exit 7, Willow Street. Sturgis has offered us a 20% discount from the list prices for team purchases. Another resource in Rhode Island is Team One Newport. They have offered us a 15% discount on team purchases.
Final note on equipment: Please don't let the dry suits or equipment keep the kids from sailing. Coach Jansen and I will do what we can to help pull together equipment. Remember, the life preserver needs to be Coast Guard approved.
