CCA sailors or potential CCA Sailors:

We would like to have a quick meeting next week on Wednesday night (FEB 24th) at 5pm to 6pm in the Science Center Basement Lecture Hall to discuss the start of the season (putting boats together, putting sail numbers on etc). I will also be providing the new sailors with copies of the playbook that I would like everyone to review. In the coming week I will use the email list to send out video clips for you to watch with questions/points I would like to you to figure out.

What a day.. Started off upwards of 20 knots and just enough North that made Vineyard Haven Yacht club bumpy. Wind got lighter all day and backed to the West and so the sailors got to compete in a variety of conditions.

Thanks to the strong backs of Coach Jansen, Jon and Mr. Benoit, Mr. Fallon, Mr. Pemberton and Mr. McCaskey, the boats have been delivered to the Wianno Yacht Club and soon we'll be rigging them.

Coach Jansen will be sending out an e-mail shortly, asking for help.

We had two very productive meetings this week. One with the Students to solicit interest and a second with the Parents to share information and solicit support. I'm happy to say we seem to have a group of (14) enthusiastic sailors who have expressed interest and about as many parents who showed up to learn more and to ask what they can do to help. This is a great start!

The following are team action items.

Come join us for a meeting to talk about an exciting new Cape Cod sailing club. It is important to note that the club is not a formal Cape Cod Academy team. It is an independent sailing club formed under a non-profit status. As with any independent sailing club, we will be asking for parents support and help.
